Gornji deo pončoa je mreža, srednji deo čine motivi cvetova margarete, po kojima je isprva i dobio ime, a donji deo je ponovo u mrežastom uzorku. Duge rese čine ga nežnim i romantičnim, a mali rukavi daju mu osobenost i praktičnost. Duge pantljike za vezivanje duž vratnog izreza, sa po jednom kićankom, upotpunjuju stil celog komada.
[:en]Poncho with sleeves “Margo” is crocheted in 4 shades of yarn – from beige to bright yellow. The upper part of the poncho is a net, the middle consists of flower motifs, Garden Marguerite, which is how it got its name at first, and the lower edge repeats the net. Long fringe make it delicate and romantic, while its petite sleeves give it a sense of uniqueness and practicality. Long strings along the neckline, with 2 tassels attached, complete the style of the whole piece.

Saznanja o nekim istorijskim ličnostima vrlo često mogu da posluže kao inspiracija za nove ideje koje želimo da realizujemo svojim rukama. Jedno od takvih nadahnuća pronašla sam u biografiji čuvene francuske kraljice Margarete, poznatijoj kao kraljica Margo.
Margareta od Valoa (14. maj 1553. – 27. mart 1615.), popularno nazvana Kraljica Margo, bila je francuska princeza iz dinastije Valoa, koja je postala Kraljica od Navare udajom za Anrija III od Navare, a zatim i Kraljica Francuske.
Margareta je bila ćerka Kralja Francuske Anrija II i Katarine Mediči, a kao kraljica od Navare odigrala je mirotvoračku ulogu u burnim odnosima koji su postojali između njenog muža i francuske monarhije. Žonglirajući između dva dvora, trudila se da vodi srećan bračni život. Međutim, njena sudbina da nema dece i političke tenzije u građanskim konfliktima, dovele su do razvoda njenog braka. Loš tretman od strane jednog od njene braće, i odbačenost od nestalnog i oportunističkog muža, naterali su Margo da stane na stranu opozicije 1585. Zauzela je stranu Katoličke Lige i bila prisiljena da živi u Overnji u izgnanstvu koje je potrajalo 20 godina. 1599. godine pristala je na tzv. kraljevski razvod, ali tek nakon isplate u vidu obilate kompenzacije.
Poznata žena od pera, prosvetljenog uma kao i velikodušna pokroviteljka, odigrala je značajnu ulogu u kulturnom životu dvora, naročito posle povratka iz egzila 1605. god. Propovedala je prednost platonske ljubavi nad fizičkom, a tokom zatočeništva iskoristila je priliku da napiše svoje Memoare, što ju je učinilo prvom ženom koja je to ostvarila.
Kraljica Margo bila je jedna od najmodernijih žena toga vremena, a svojom garderobom prenela je svoj uticaj na mnoge kraljevske dvorove u Evropi.

Findings about historical figures very often can lead us to new ideas that we want to achieve when we create things with our own hands. One of those inspirational ladies was the famous French queen Margaret, better known as Queen Margot.
Margaret of Valois (French: Marguerite, 14 May 1553 – 27 March 1615), popularly known as La Reine Margot, was a French princess of the Valois dynasty who became Queen of Navarre by marriage to Henry III of Navarre and then later Queen of France.
Margaret was the daughter of King Henry II of France and Catherine de’ Medici, and as Queen of Navarre, she played a pacifying role in the stormy relations between her husband and the French monarchy. Shuttling back and forth between the two courts, she endeavoured to lead a happy conjugal life, but her infertility and the political tensions inherent in the civil conflict led to the end of her marriage. Mistreated by a brother, who was quick to take offence, and being rejected by a fickle and opportunistic husband, she chose the path of opposition in 1585. She took the side of the Catholic League and was forced to live in Auvergne in an exile that lasted 20 years. In 1599, she consented to a “royal divorce”, but only after the payment of a generous compensation.
A well-known woman of letters, an enlightened mind as well as an extremely generous patron, she played a considerable part in the cultural life of the court, especially after her return from exile in 1605. She preached the supremacy of platonic love over physical love, and during her imprisonment, she took advantage of the time to write her Memoirs, the first woman to have done so.
She was one of the most fashionable women of her time and influenced many of Europe’s royal courts with her clothing.
