[:en]Mexicana Elegante knit and crochet shawl was sold at The International Crafts Fair in Mexico City in 2018, together with several other shawls and ponchos, which you can see in the post Mexicana Collection. Hence the name for this one and all other pieces from this collection.[:rs]Marama Meksikana Elegante prodata je na Međunarodnom sajmu rukotvorina u Meksiko Sitiju 2018. godine, gde je izlagana sa još nekoliko modela, koje možete pogledati u objavi Kolekcija Meksikana. [:rs]Iako nastala još 2018. godine, Meksikana Elegante i dalje je popularna, i mnoge ženice pitale su me za uputstvo. Zbog toga sam odlučila da napišem ovu objavu i uputstvo za pletenje i heklanje, jer je ovaj komad kombinacija te dve tehnike.
[:en]Although I designed the shawl way back in 2018, Mexicana Elegante is still very popular and some ladies have asked me for knit and crochet instructions. That’s why I decided to write this post and a written tutorial for this piece, since it is a combination of those two techniques.

[:rs]Marama je, dakle, urađena kombinacijom pletenja i heklanja. Za obe tehnike potrebno je da imate srednji stepen veštine. Gornji deo marame se plete na 2 igle, a rebrastu strukturu daju dva osnovna boda – glat bod i kovrdžavi bod. Donji, rupičasti deo marame urađen je tehnikom heklanja. Bodovi su visoki stubići, dvostruki visoki stubići, i lančići sa niskim stubićima za izradu mreže.
[:en]As stated above, the shawl uses knit and crochet techniques. For both techniques you will need intermediate knowledge. The upper part of the shawl uses ribbed texture on 2 needles. To obtain the ribbibg, you will only need two basic stitches – stockinette stitch and garter stitch. On the other hand, the bottom part of the shawl has crocheted mesh pattern. Crochet stitches I used for the mesh are double crochet, treble crochet, chain, single crochet.
