To make this hat, you will need basic knowledge of crocheting skills and crocheting in the rounds. Stitches used in this pattern are single crochet, half double crochet in 3rd loop, and crab stitch.

Yarn: Alize Superlana Midi; 1 skein: 100gr – 3.53 Oz, 170m –186yds; 25% Wool, 75% Acrylic. Amount: 220gr.
Hook: UK 4.5mm (US E/4) crochet hook
For decoration:
- Metal chain – 60cm / 23.6in long
- Metal ring – 5cm / 2in in diameter
- Or tie a scarf in your favourite color around the hat, like shown in the photos

General description
The hat is crocheted top down in one piece, by holding 2 strands of yarn together. The top and brim of the hat are made using single crochet stitches, while the crown is completed in half double crochet worked in the 3rd loop. The last round of the brim is made using the crab stitch.

3. Crab stitch – sc backwards.
Normally, you work from right to left. With the crab stitch, just work from left to right. At the beginning of last rnd, work the first sc in next st as you would usually do, but work every next sc by inserting the hook into the next st on the RIGHT from the previous st. Watch this video showing how to do the crab stitch. When you finish the last crab st, pull yarn through the top of 1st crab st and pull yarn to the back of your work. Cut yarn and weave in the end.
